Day Out With Thomas!
Today we were off to celebrate a Day Out with Thomas, in Spencer, NC. Brian informed us that he isn’t really into Thomas anymore (this kid is too big for his britches, now that he’s a big kindergartener!) Today we decided to head out to Shelley Lake to feed the ducks! It had been awhile, and we had a ton of bread heels to distribute. It started feeling like fall today, so Kendall wore her first long sleeves of the year and her sparkly red corduroy pants. I’d been waiting months for her to be able to wear this shirt! Today, we finished putting together our TIE fighter (and TIE advanced!) model kits. Brian wants to have the set of ships from the famous trench scene from Star Wars hanging from his ceiling. This group of three will be a good start. 🙂 Kendall is working on using an open cup–she’s doing pretty well with it! Today we packed up and hit the road early to visit the zoo! The kids watched Star Wars on the drive, and then we set out to explore. It was a really hot day, but we still visited all of our usual stops along the trail. I was happy to see my favorites, the ocelot, the bobcat, and the otters. It was our last day at the beach, and we were all feeling a little down to be heading back to real life.. But, we made the most of the time we had.
