Laurel Hills Park!
We may be back from the beach, but we’re still on spring break! Today we decided to enjoy the nice weather and take the kids to Laurel Hills park to play. We had picked up a pair of Hello Kitty walkie-talkies at the beach, which Kendall spotted in the Best Buy. We let the kids play with them at the park, even though they’re a bit noisy, and don’t work all that well! Walkie-talkie hide-and-seek was a fun game, and some of the other kids wanted to get in on the action....

Today was our last day at the beach for this spring break! We had a nice relaxing breakfast together, and let the kids play while we worked on packing up. We spent a little more time outside, and Brian found some “stoplight leaves”–red, yellow, and green. Plus, he found the biggest pine cone he’d ever seen! It’s still too cool out for the kayaks, but we had to promise Brian that he’d get to use them later this summer, once it warms up. Once we got them...

Today we decided to have an outing to the aquarium with the kids! Brian passed on going last time, but he felt like attending this time. I think he was glad he decided to come! It’s our first full day at the beach, and we mostly took it easy and had a relaxing day. That’s exactly what you need sometimes, right? The kids played inside this morning, with the penguin bowling set, and with the Lego Beach House set. Kendall debuted some of her new summertime pajamas and was quite proud of herself. The kids both have new Lego-themed crocs–those were quite a hit! It’s still a little chilly this early in spring, but it was a lovely day to be...

Today was the Batman edition of Lego Club! Brian isn’t so much into the superheroes (again, he thinks he can only like one thing a a time–and that’s Star Wars!) But he is down for Lego Club, no matter what the theme is! The mission was to build something that Batman could use to capture the bad guys, and I was pretty impressed with Brian’s creativity. His “jail” came equipped with a brain scanner that Batman could use to figure out what was making the...
