TIE Fighters and Ice Cream
Today, we finished putting together our TIE fighter (and TIE advanced!) model kits. Brian wants to have the set of ships from the famous trench scene from Star Wars hanging from his ceiling. This group of three will be a good start. 🙂 Kendall is working on using an open cup–she’s doing pretty well with it! Brian took pictures of posters he likes again–I’m sharing them here since they are just so “him”. This afternoon we went out for ice cream at Fresh....

Well, it’s the end of an era–today was Brian’s last day at Goddard School. How was his last day at Goddard after his first day of Kindergarten? It’s a quirk of the way Kindergarten assessments and assignments are done. Yesterday, he had a full day of assessments, today there’s no Kindergarten while the teachers crunch the numbers (Brandon and I like to imagine they have a draft.) 😉 Tomorrow, it’s back to Kindergarten where we will find out his official...

Today’s a big day for all of us! It’s Brian’s first day of Kindergarten! We had breakfast together, and then were off on our new morning routine. Brian was pretty excited to have his new backpack (yes, it’s the same as his old backpack!) We took Kendall to Goddard first, and then went to Root. Brian was happy to be back at Root, and was super excited to see Ms. Misty right out front. Then, we made our way down the hall to the Kindergarten classes. We liked all...

Today we packed up and hit the road early to visit the zoo! The kids watched Star Wars on the drive, and then we set out to explore. It was a really hot day, but we still visited all of our usual stops along the trail. I was happy to see my favorites, the ocelot, the bobcat, and the otters. Kendall seemed to be really interested in the grizzly bear, saying “bear” a few times (mostly before I was recording, of course) and of course everyone loves the zebras and giraffes. A new...

Must be a summer Saturday at our house. 😉 Whew, it was another packed day full of fun. First off, Brian went to Lowe’s Build and Grow and made a cool El Macho plane, from the upcoming movie Planes. You can see he went in his swim gear, because right after that, it was off to Tyler B’s birthday party. It was a superhero theme this time, and Brian got to make a cool mask, and got a Batman towel/cape to keep! I stayed home with Kendall, and we had a nice time relaxing and...
